In the Midst of the Dark invites listeners into their own inner spaces, reflecting on the challenge of holding hope and faith together with trauma and loss. Musically, the album is rich and varied, drawing on a collaboration between folky Nerida and her beloved producer/cousin Paul Colman, who brings his extensive pop experience into the mix with brilliant backing instrumentation.

Nerida’s background living in missional community and teaching young people about everyday faith, combined with more than her share of grief and trauma, provides a deep soil from which these songs of hope, resilience and humanity have grown.
